These pages contain probably the widest range of views by subject, age and price of any on the site. There are many very early views, but also included are everything from curved mounts and amateur views to salt prints and fine 1850s studio compositions. Now extends over three pages so please don't miss the links at the bottom of each page to the next. Please note: Some views have a slight orange tinge which was caused by my new scanner before I got the hang of it. Difference in size is also due to scanner settings. The English Classic views in color are in the color section. Please click here for those, although there are a few in these pages.

'1707. Love on a tub'. I have
previously described these views as 'litho' but have been told that they
are not. I can hardly describe them as 'letterpress' which is what they
essentially are - printed but not with a dot pattern (a much better quality).
They should be fairly obvious anyway. Many of the next section are of that
type.

of mount split).

The rest
of the views on this page are by amateur photographers. They provide a
view in total contrast to the professionals. Also, they are unique rather
than one copy of thousands of the same image.
Another amateur view, dated
29th April 1904. Also unreadable (by me) handwritten title.
Condition 8.
