The next section comprises views of Yellowstone by Truman Ward Ingersoll of St Paul, MN. Ingersoll was an important and prolific publisher of a wide range of views for many years. He employed an army of canvassers to sell his views and built up a vast range of negs totalling over 4,000 published views. Later, when business took a turn for the worse, he reissued many of his views in color photo-litho format - well into the 20th century. Treadwell mentions this Yellowstone Park Series and describes his views as 'usually fine'. The contrast on some of these is rather thin but this would seem to be much as they were produced rather than later fading.

This and the next are an enigma. They both bear the handwritten title 'Falls of Mississippi at Mineapolis'. Printed on the back of this one is 'Bradbury's Queen Esther'. 'Build Thou a Gallows'. No indication of photographer. William B. Bradbury (1816-68) published hundreds of pieces in a variety of vocal genres. His 'Queen Esther'was published in 1856 and was his most popular work. What this has to do with stereoviews will, if you have nothing better to do, be an utterly pointless project.
