Belgium/Luxembourg, page 1, Antwerp, Brussels
(everywhere else on page two - link at the bottom)

The English tend to sneer at Belgium unless it is being invaded when it magically transforms into 'plucky little Belgium'. I once heard someone on the radio describe Belgium as 'a totally straight motorway bordered by cabbage fields', which is a little unfair - in the Ardennes at least the motorways have bends. Having lived for ten years on the Luxembourg/Belgian border, I can categorically state that Belgium is more interesting than it first appears - it needs to be! Luxembourg, being rather straight laced, banned bordellos so they were all strung out (and still are), along the main road into Arlon, just on the Belgian side. Gambling was also banned in Luxembourg due to one of the 1930s Grand Ducal family losing vast areas of his country at the gaming tables in Monte Carlo. He was brought home, banned from leaving the country, and everyone in the country was banned from gambling for 40 years. Luxembourg is a strange country and I well recall a tupperware party being raided by armed gendarmes - but that's another story and I digress . . .
