England
England
was more comprehensively covered by stereographers than anywhere else.
There is also a greater volume of early material from the 1850s/60s available.
Francis Bedford (active 1857 to the 1870s) produced probably the finest
work and views by him are on a separate page and cover Devonshire, Shropshire,
Bristol and Cleveden, Warwickshire and Wales.
Welsh,
Scottish, Irish and Isle of Man views have their own pages.
We
have now completed a massive enlargement of this section and there are now several
thousand views covering the British Isles. Views are coming in all the time so please email
any particular wants.
Please
click on areas of the map and it will take you to that location. However, some ecclesiastical and specialist
views are grouped together regardless of location.
